The Special Couple: Noelle + Mark

THE FIRST SIGHT & PROPOSAL

Mark and I surprisingly met on tinder - he says it was love at first swipe. We stayed up until 4 am messaging and then met for our first date a few days later. We were both very nervous, but I genuinely believe it when people say, "when you know, you know".

We don't have a big proposal story; getting married was just something we had been talking about for some time, and he just told me he was going to ask but then got so nervous. So we ended up being engaged at home, and he took the ring out of his pocket. It was really sweet and just something for us.

THE INSPIRATION & VENUE

I wanted something glitzy, modern and romantic—a bit of everything. I had been looking at the prominent wedding planners on Instagram with the large candelabras and large floral arrangements and was very inspired by what I saw, so that was what I was aiming for as a goal for our special day. In the end, we chose white florals with a black and gold table setting theme.

THE BRIDAL LOOK

Ever since I was a little girl, I have wanted a big princess dress. My taste has changed so much over the years, but I made it a point to choose a dress that I could look back on and think it was still beautiful and not something that was in fashion at the time. I had always wanted an open-back dress, something that was not too heavy and with intricate details. When I found my Neta Dover dress, Corin, I knew it was the one for me.

SAYING 'YES' TO THE DRESS

I think I tried on around seven dresses? While the wedding dresses I selected were beautiful, I wasn't in love with any of them. My Eternal Bridal stylist Brooke picked this one bridal dress out for me and suggested I try it on. She has such a fantastic eye. I wouldn't have picked it at all. I absolutely loved the lace and beading detail, it had the open back feature, which is what I wanted, plus it looked so elegant with the long train - I just fell in love. Nearing the end of my bridal styling session, it came down to 2 Neta Dover dresses, and I picked the Corin gown. It was a little more me, and that's what I wanted in a dress.

THE BEST THING ABOUT OUR DAY

The ceremony is the highlight of our wedding day. Our wedding planner/stylist did an amazing job; everything looked so beautiful. It was raining in the morning, but by the time the ceremony came round, the weather had cleared up, and it was a perfect sunny afternoon.
