THE FIRST SIGHT & PROPOSAL

Jeffrey and I met on Tinder. My now husband surprised me with a weekend away in Daylesford. He proposed at sunset on the pier at Lake Daylesford, and I said, "yes!"

THE INSPIRATION & VENUE

We wanted something that was both elegant and modern. We had planned our day with lots of neutral pinks & natural tones

THE BRIDAL LOOK & SAYING "YES" TO THE DRESS

I wanted something fitted at the top and the bottom half to be flowy. I first saw my dress on the website and knew it was the one. Even though the sample was huge, I felt relief when I saw the dress on me. It was like a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. I just suddenly knew I'd found the dress. I also stopped feeling like I was playing dress up and started feeling like I was getting married and was a bride. My experience at Eternal Bridal was incredible! The stylists were helpful and didn't pressure me to purchase. When I picked up my wedding dress, the girls were fantastic at going through all the small details and even gave me advice on holding my flowers!

THE BEST THING ABOUT OUR DAY 

The whole day was incredible! One highlight was walking up the aisle to see my partner's reaction and seeing the venue after all the work that was put into styling. The ceremony was just beautiful, and being able to share that with all the people we love and care about at the same time made it very special. 

CHELSIE'S ADVICE

Embrace every moment and breathe. Know that no matter what, everything will work out. Make sure you have a Plan B in place and be happy with it.

The Special Couple: Clarissa + Garry

THE FIRST SIGHT & PROPOSAL

Garry and I met when we started studying the same course at Sydney University. We were on holiday in Japan, exploring Takamatsu's art islands. After exploring the island and the artwork there, we walked along the rice fields and stopped to enjoy the spectacular view. That's when he popped the question!

THE INSPIRATION & VENUE

The theme we were going for was "modern romantic". It blended classic romantic themes with lush florals and whimsical fairy lights, tied in with modern touches like neon signs and a fun rooftop space.

 

THE BRIDAL LOOK & SAYING "YES" TO THE DRESS

I tried on a few lovely wedding dresses, but nothing had everything I wanted. Just before we were about to finish my appointment at Eternal Bridal, my mum asked about the Galia Lahav gowns, which I wasn't initially interested in but thought I'd try them on anyway since there probably would never be another time too. When I tried on the first Galia dress, I instantly fell in love. When trying on previous dresses, I thought they were lovely, but after trying on a Galia gown, I realised how much detail and thought was put into the dress because something about them makes every dress pale in comparison.

THE BEST THING ABOUT OUR DAY 

The highlight was the quiet time I had with Garry during our sunset photoshoot. It was nice getting away from the reception and reflecting together on the day so far.

The Special Couple: Mimma & Jack

THE FIRST SIGHT & PROPOSAL

I met my special other half, Jack, through friends of ours. We always had our eyes on each other. Jack proposed to me at Crown Casino. He surprised me. I thought we were going away for a weekend to relax, and he got down on one knee and popped the question.

THE INSPIRATION & VENUE

We had no particular theme for the wedding. We chose blush and white coloured roses to match my bridesmaids' dresses. If I had to summarise the overall style of our wedding, I'd say simply plain & elegant was the look I was going for.

THE BRIDAL LOOK & SAYING "YES" TO THE DRESS

I had tried on about 4-5 wedding gowns before finding the one. My chosen wedding dress was the most plain out of them all, but I had a dress saved on my phone from years ago that was almost identical to the dress I chose. When I put the dress on, the excitement was overwhelming. I couldn't stop smiling and kept imagining myself in the dress, but nothing compared to what I felt on the day wearing it. I was so happy I tried it on and knew that it was the dress for me.

THE BEST THING ABOUT OUR DAY 

The best thing had to be marrying my soul mate. The reception and less formal part of the night was so much fun.
