As with most fairy tales, it all starts with a love affair. This season Sharon Server - Head designer of Galia Lahav Couture House, has drawn inspiration from the tales of a Portuguese love affair. The designer has breathed elements of these Portuguese influences into his designs for latest Galia Lahav Haute Couture wedding dress collection "Alegria", as well as the latest ready-to-wear bridal range Gala VII.

For the international bridal industry, October signals fresh ideas in the form of new collection debuts at the New York Bridal Market. With international bridal buyers and fashion journalists flocking from around the globe to sample a piece of what’s to come in the next season, designers large and small are putting on their own unique events.

This year, Galia Lahav exchanged the standard white runway for a more intimate setting of a studio. Upon exclusive invitations, buyers and a select few fashion journalist were shown the latest masterpieces by the Couture House.

The latest Galia Lahav Wedding Dress Collections stay true to their signature fitted silhouette of fit and flared at the knees, fishnet sleeves, detachable skirts and soft sheer ballgowns with corset bodices and splits. This new collection presents a romantic snapshot of Sharon’s Portuguese inspiration. From the careful choice of lightweight fabrics, to translating floral's from Portuguese tiles onto intricately woven lace patterns and lavish 3D floral appliques on dresses. There was no element of inspiration left untouched.

Along with the classic Galia Lahav sparkles, low-back and plunging v-necks; this new collection integrated new design concepts in the form of adapted sweet heart necklines, off shoulder statement sleeves, exaggerated soft tulle bell sleeves and embellished spaghetti straps. By combining both classic and fresh design features, Sharon and Galia Lahav has presented a truly romantic collection of luxury wedding dresses to their lucky attendees at New York Bridal Markets.
