Just 2 days before the opening night of Vivid Sydney, Dean and Rachael Bentick, the husband-and-wife dream team behind prominent photography studio Inlighten, began planning a last-minute photoshoot amidst the light show.

With no client, no brief, and no knowledge of what Vivid would deliver on opening night, the duo went out on a creative limb and assembled the team they needed to make their project happen.

Inlighten’s industry contacts certainly delivered on short notice, with gowns from Eternal Bridal, videography by Soda Films, beauty by Elisa Fonseca and Marissa Romanous, and accessories by Roman and French coming together to make a unique and exciting shoot.

Dean and Rachel couldn’t be more pleased with the photos, many of which featured the iconic harbour bridge and landmark opera house in the background, lit up by the incredible light displays.

“Every once in a while, you just have to follow your dreams and let your creative juices flow. And that’s exactly what we did last night!” said the Inlighten team of the last-minute project.
