REAL BRIDE BRE MARRIES IN GALA BY GALIA LAHAV

THE FIRST SIGHT & PROPOSAL
We first met through a friend when I was 11 but reconnected when I was 20 and he was 26. My girlfriend asked me to do personal training with her and Chris was the (super hot) trainer!
We spontaneously booked a trip to Thailand and during the middle of our trip we decided to go out for a nice dinner but Chris was so casual about it that it didn't seem suspicious. When we got to the hotel we sat down to have a drink and Chris told me we actually had a private dinner booked. Someone then escorted us out and drove us down in a buggy to a private candle lit table at the very end of the beach and next thing I knew Chris was on one knee!
THE INSPIRATION
We didn't have a set theme but we wanted it to reflect Chris and I. Our wedding was held on a property in gorgeous Kangaroo Valley and we wanted to respect the venue but didn't want a 'farm' looking wedding. Our flowers were definitely the feature, we focussed on a moody pink pallete - the bouquets were a mix of light & shade with pops of colour, we kept the ceremony arch quite neutral and classic and then had some super fun vibes at the reception, including a relocated arch with a pink neon hanging off it! The rest of the styling was quite simple & classic - minimal black & white signage with some gold feature items such as personalised mirror coasters & candle stick holders. Dani and the team at The Make Haus were magic, they completely knew what I wanted and created something even better than I could have imagined. I definitely got my inspiration from where we all do these days - Instagram!
THE BRIDAL LOOK
I really wanted to feel like a bride, but also me! I can't pull off a super simple silk dress although that's a gorgeous look! I knew what styles suited my body so I focused on that! And then I threw in some fun by adding bright pink velvet shoes.
HER SAY "YES" TO THE DRESS MOMENT
I think I tried around 15 dresses! There were a few things I was hoping my chosen dress would have, and it had all of them! Although the material was very different to what I had planned, it was much more detailed than what I thought I'd want but I loved it - you never know until you try!
It was my second round of dress shopping and I remember opening the curtain to my mum and bridesmaid and they both just said "yep, that's the one!". The girls at Eternal Bridal were so lovely and supportive, you really get to have your pinch-me moment.
THE HIGHLIGHT
Seeing everyone we love in one room & having so much fun was such an incredible feeling but the absolute highlight was walking down the aisle to Chris, nothing will ever top that moment.
