Wedding date: Saturday 19th November 2016

How did you meet your husband?

Nick and I met in 2011 at a local bar on the Marina in Glenelg, Adelaide. Although we say this is the first time that we met, Nick was actually too shy to talk to me – so added me on Facebook instead. A week later we decided to meet up for a coffee and we have been best friends ever since!

Describe the proposal.

Nick and I love to travel. So, after 4 and a half years of dating, living in London together, and buying a house and 2 dogs, Nick decided to pop the question while holidaying in the amazing Gili Islands on the back of a horse and cart. It finally made sense, why he started drinking at 10am that morning!

Describe your wedding theme/style.

We wanted a relaxed, party feel to the wedding, with just a touch of boho. We hired Brooke and Andrew from The Beautiful Life and they created a moody feel with dark, rich colours, romantic lighting, and soft chiffon detailing. The whole décor suited our personalities and was exactly what we had envisioned. On the day, everything just fell into place and we couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out.

What made you visit Eternal Bridal?

Most of my bridesmaids live in Melbourne, so my mum and I decided to fly over from Adelaide for a dress shopping trip (it helped that mum had actually won flights to Melbourne a few months earlier!). Prior to flying over to Melbourne, we discovered that Eternal Bridal was able to order a dress I liked that I had found on Instagram. However, when my appointment came, I found a completely different dress that I absolutely loved, and the rest is history!

Describe the moment you found your wedding dress.

I had tried on many dresses during my 2 days in Melbourne but none stood out like this one. I knew instantly that I was going to say ‘YES to the dress’. I was lucky enough to have 2 of my bridesmaids and mum with me and they both agreed that buying the dress was a must.

What do you love in particular about your wedding dress?

It is too hard to choose one thing that I particularly love! My dress was exactly what I had envisaged, and just felt right, from the moment I saw it. The material was (and still is!) amazing and fit my body like a glove.

If you could give your newly engaged self one piece of advice, what would it be?

Don’t stress about the small things in life and make the most of every day!
