The Special Couple: Marissa + Emmanuel

THE FIRST SIGHT & PROPOSAL 

We met through two mutual friends who set us up on a blind date. It was in the heart of Covid, so we did many coastal walks and got to know each other. We fell in love after four dates and moved in after six months of dating. When you know, you know!

Emmanuel took me on The Hermitage coastal walk in Vaucluse, one of our favourite coastal walks from our dates. He sat me down on the bench at the end of the walk, dropped to one knee, and asked me to marry him. We had a beautiful view of the ocean and Harbour Bridge in front of us. Then we returned to my parent's house and had a big party with family and friends.

THE INSPIRATION & VENUE 

Our stylist and florist's business is named Gaia Flora. She created a magical vision of lots of white flowers of different styles. We also had lots and lots of candles on all of our tables, accompanied by rustic marble, and some tables even had green grapes for display.

THE BRIDAL LOOK & SAYING "YES" TO THE DRESS

I always wanted a long-sleeved dress, but I had no idea about the style until I walked into Eternal Bridal. Eternal Bridal was our first shop, and the Bella dress was the third wedding dress I had tried on. As soon as I wore the dress, I knew it was the one. When I opened the curtain, my mum and sister were there, and they instantly fell in love with it too.

After thinking about it for hours that afternoon, my mum and sister ran to the shop and secured the dress for me. Later that night, they came past my place and surprised me with the news! The team at Eternal were so helpful, lovely and complimentary. I had such a wonderful experience; it's how every dress fitting should be!

THE HIGHLIGHT

The most special thing for me on the day was being surrounded by family and friends and marrying my best friend.

I would say, always stay calm because everything will work out the way it's meant to.
