REAL BRIDE ANNA TYING THE KNOT IN GALIA LAHAV

The Special Couple: Anna + Jimmy

THE FIRST SIGHT & THE PROPOSAL

Jimmy and I met at a party in Preston 7 years ago. During my younger years I went on a Contiki Tour through America and met my friend Ali, at the time I was living in Queensland and felt like I needed a change of scenery and moved to Melbourne where Ali lived. He had also moved from New Zealand to Melbourne for work. Ali convinced me to attend a party in Preston, and luck she did cause that's where I met him, and the rest is history.

He proposed in out West Melbourne apartment with chocolates and flowers and with our beloved cat Alfred.

THE INSPIRATION

The theme for our wedding was "rustic bohemian", I always loved the bohemian type of wedding style. Our wedding was in New Zealand, we wanted something very relaxed and natural and chose a beautiful venue that was set in the country near the Alps. We married in autumn, so our colour scheme was based around those natural autumn tones, reds, mustards, blacks and greens. We were surrounded by lots of greenery and flowers.

THE BRIDAL LOOK

Ever since I was young, I always wanted to wear a Galia Lahav gown for my wedding. My bridal style was chic and glam. I also really wanted sleeves. There was lots of beautiful materials and intricate detailing used in my gown.

HER SAY "YES" TO THE DRESS MOMENT

I fell in love when I saw it, it showed some of my features so well which is what I wanted. Everything from the different laces to the shape of my dress, the intricate detailing and the veil. It was everything I wanted in a wedding gown.

THE WEDDING

The sun was shining, and the gardens were looking absolutely gorgeous with all the autumn tones at Flaxmere Gardens. The ceremony was relaxed and beautiful, it was perfect. With the stunning scenery, our wedding had so much romance that nothing mattered but being there with Jimmy in that moment. We wouldn't have changed a thing. Our reception was set up in the barn, it was so fun and relaxed. Everyone still says it was the best wedding they have ever been too!!

THE HIGHLIGHT

Our ceremony definitely was the highlight. It was not so traditional, there was no waiting till the end to have the kiss, we were close and sharing little kisses through the whole ceremony. Don't get me wrong through, our final kiss was DRAMATIC! We also had two of our closest friends read beautiful readings which made it even more special.

BRIDE'S ADVICE

Take every second of your wedding day in, it is truly unexplainable the feelings you feel on your wedding day. Most importantly, all the little things don't matter one bit, it's just you and your partner beginning a new exciting stage of love and life together.

BRIDE'S ETERNAL BRIDAL EXPERIENCE

The whole experience was spectacular. Being able to go to the Langham Hotel and try on Galia Lahav gowns and also have personal one on one contact with a Galia Lahav representative was so special. Walking into the beautiful hotel and room and drinking champagne and trying on gowns was something I will remember forever.  The continuation on from when my gown arrived at Eternal Bridal was amazing too, the whole experience was stress-free and easy and the ladies at Eternal Bridal were so helpful.
