The Special Couple: Emma + Julian

THE FIRST SIGHT & THE PROPOSAL

Julian and I met ten years ago through mutual friends, who were our maid of Honour and Best Man. The four of us have been best friends since the meeting.

Julian's proposal happened when we were away over the summer period in Renmark with friends. It was new years day, and we went out on a sunset cruise on the boat. Everyone knew apart from me, so my friend said 'why done you guys get a photo on the board with the sunset behind you' Here is me thinking that Julian was going to push me in the water as we muck around a lot.... but no he pulled out a ring and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was the best moment.

THE INSPIRATION

We chose Peppers Moonah Links Resort for our venue. Our theme was Modern, black and white. We got married on a golf course as Julian and I both love playing golf, and it meant everything to share this special moment.

HER SAY "YES" TO THE DRESS MOMENT

People always say "It's always the first one" and for me it was!!

I had found my dress online before I went into the store and it was everything I thought I would wear on my wedding day. It was everything I have ever dreamed about in a wedding dress. I tried on roughly eight other dresses but found myself always comparing back to the first and nothing could live up to it.

THE HIGHLIGHT

The most special highlight for me on the day would have to be walking down the aisle. Seeing Julian waiting for me at the other end, it was like our lives were about to change.

EMMA'S ADVICE

The essential piece of wedding day advice would be to enjoy the process, enjoy been engaged and have fun planning. It is so much fun watching your dream come to life, and I had the best time planning the wedding, from the venue right down to the table centrepieces I loved the whole process.
